We are Kim and Clay Markham, lovers of food, travel, and finding ways to celebrate every single day.
Clay’s profession as an international hotel architect has taken him to over 200 cities in 25 countries around the world-often with me in tow. At home, all of these cultural experiences continually inspire us to recreate many of the dishes, flavors, and dining customs as we entertain friends or make special moments just for the two of us.
While we enjoy cuisines from around the world, we also have a deep appreciation for those within our own traditions. Clay’s Arkansas and Louisiana roots play a significant role in his affinity for the diverse fare of the American South. My midwestern upbringing makes me continually nostalgic for the foods of my German heritage and the specialties of my Greek and Mexican friends in the panhandle of western Nebraska.
For now, our hope is that these pages will allow you to travel with us, garner new ideas, and gain inspiration for your own cooking explorations. In the near future we look forward to sharing more information about travel recommendations, some of our favorite food, wine, and product finds, and ideas for entertaining.
